SMS Messaging
Uptick Co. sends automated SMS messages on behalf of local service businesses. These messages are transactional — they notify callers that their call was received, invite them to reply or call back, and help businesses recover missed leads.
How recipients consent: A person provides implied consent to receive a follow-up SMS by initiating contact — calling the business's phone number. The automated message is a direct response to that inbound call attempt.
How to opt out: Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Opt-out requests are honored immediately. Reply HELP for assistance.
Message frequency: Recipients receive no more than one automated follow-up SMS per missed call event. Message and data rates may apply.
Carrier compliance: All SMS messaging conducted through Uptick Co. systems is registered with The Campaign Registry (TCR) and complies with US A2P 10DLC carrier requirements. We maintain active Brand and Campaign registrations for all client messaging programs.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Twilio Inc. — SMS delivery infrastructure. Phone numbers and message content are transmitted to Twilio to enable delivery. Twilio's privacy policy governs their use of this data.
- Google LLC — Our automation infrastructure runs on Google Workspace, Sheets, and Apps Script. Google's privacy policy governs their use.
- The Campaign Registry (TCR) — Business identity and campaign information is submitted to TCR for US A2P 10DLC carrier compliance.
- Legal requirements — We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
No other third parties receive personal information collected through our services.
Data Retention
We retain client business information for the duration of the service relationship and for a reasonable period afterward as required for tax, legal, and compliance purposes.
Missed call logs and SMS activity records are retained in client dashboards for as long as the client account is active. Clients may request deletion of their records at any time.
