Compliance

SMS Automation Done Right.

SMS automation is powerful and regulated. Uptick Co. handles brand registration, campaign setup, and opt-out processing so your business stays compliant without reading FCC rules.

Built for compliance from the start.

Every Uptick Co. client is set up on carrier-approved infrastructure. These are the compliance components included in every build.

A2P 10DLC Registration
Every client gets their own brand and campaign registered with The Campaign Registry. Your messages travel through carrier-approved 10DLC trunks, not gray-market routes that get blocked or filtered.
Dedicated Phone Number
Each client receives a dedicated 10-digit local number tied to their registered campaign. Your messages come from your own business number, not a shared pool used by other companies.
Opt-Out Handling
STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT are recognized and processed automatically. When a contact opts out, all automations to that number stop at once: no manual intervention required.
Quiet Hours Enforcement
All outbound messages respect TCPA quiet hours. Nothing goes out before 8 AM or after 9 PM in the recipient's local time zone. The system handles this automatically: you do not configure it per message.
Required Disclosures
Every campaign includes your business name, reply STOP to opt out, and reply HELP for help, as required by US carriers and the CTIA. These are built into your message templates at setup, not added as an afterthought.
Message Logs
Every SMS sent and received is logged with timestamps and delivery status in your Google Sheet. You hold a complete record of every message your automation sends: no third-party dashboard required.

What You're Responsible For

Uptick Co. handles the infrastructure. These four items are on your side of the line: we walk through each one on the onboarding call.

01
Accurate Business Information
Your legal business name, EIN, address, and website are required to register your A2P brand with The Campaign Registry. This information must be accurate: mismatches between your registration and your actual business details can result in campaign rejection.
02
A Privacy Policy on Your Website
Your website must state that phone numbers collected through your forms may receive SMS messages, and that contact data is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing. Uptick Co. provides ready-to-use language for this during onboarding: you do not need to write it from scratch.
03
Honest Opt-In Language
Consent checkboxes must not be pre-checked. Consent language must be visible, not buried in fine print. Uptick Co. provides opt-in copy you can paste directly into your intake form or booking page: it is tested against current CTIA guidance.
04
Accurate Campaign Use Cases
During onboarding you will describe how you use SMS: appointment reminders, missed call follow-up, review requests, and so on. Describe your actual use. Misrepresenting use cases to carriers during registration results in campaign rejection or termination, and can affect your ability to register future campaigns.
